BIG BAD VOODOO DADDY
2015 marks the the 23rd anniversary of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s remarkable arrival onto the music scene.
Big Bad Voodoo Daddy’s efforts to promote and revitalize swing music have taken shape as much more than a simple tribute. Taking inspiration from the creators of this uniquely American art form, the band’s original horn-infused music and legendary high energy show introduces the genre to a new and younger generation while remaining cognizant and respectful of the music’s rich legacy.
The band has also appeared as special guests with many of the country's most distinguished symphony orchestras, and has performed for three U.S. Presidents.
After 23 years, 10 records, over 2700 live shows, and countless appearances in film and television, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy is showing no signs of slowing down, and is looking forward to celebrating it’s 25th anniversary in 2017.

MONTY ALEXANDER: REMEMBERING NAT "KING" COLE
with special guests Vocalists Allan Harris and Caterina Zapponi, and
Hassan Shakur-bass, Obed Calvaire-drums, Randy Napoleon-guitar
Master pianist Monty Alexander leads a heartfelt exploration of one of his musical heroes, Nat "King" Cole. As a boy in his native Jamaica, Monty listened to his parent's Nat King Cole records and saw him perform live. In 2009, Monty released his recording Calypso Blues: The Songs of Nat King Cole. Alexander later went on to play on Natalie Cole's classic tribute album to her Father, Unforgettable: With Love. Vocalists Allan Harris, who recorded a Cole tribute of his own, Nat King Cole: Long Live the King, and Caterina Zapponi are on board in this tribute to one of America's greatest treasures!
“Non Dimenticar,” Nat’s Italian hit, was lovingly recreated, with Alexander’s lovely wife, singer Caterina Zapponi, helping Allan Harris on vocals. On the tune, Monty reprised the lovely, lilting Nat-like piano part that he played behind Natalie Cole on her best-selling tribute album to her father, “Unforgettable: With Love.” - Allen Morrison/DownBeat magazine

'THE SAX PACK 10TH ANNIVERSARY TOUR
featuring Jeff Kashiwa, Steve Cole and Kim Waters
The idea of The Sax Pack originated in 2004 with saxophonist Jeff Kashiwa
after he saw a movie about the “Rat Pack,” a group of legendary entertainers led by Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Sammy Davis, Jr.
Inspired by their showmanship and camaraderie, Kashiwa came up with the name The Sax Pack and called on some of his saxophone peers and started a new group that would feature the instrument, as well as their collective musical passion for jazz, funk and R&B.
The Sax Pack has released two CDs, “The Sax Pack” (2008) and “The Pack is Back” (2009) on Shanachie Records.
The Sax Pack features Jeff Kashiwa, Steve Cole & Kim Waters. Along with being cohesive musically, the trio share a unique and comical camaraderie on stage.
Backed by a tight rhythm section, the talented trio combine their life-long love of music and their passion for performance, to make an impact on audiences that love music as much as they do.
Committed to sharing the excitement, spontaneity and creative energy that flows between them on stage, The Sax Pack inspires an audience far beyond the duration of a show.
The well-known saxophonists are excited to create a show that combines their individual styles and diverse backgrounds for a fresh approach to the music that inspired them all to become musicians: jazz.
